Getting Started
If you’re ready to begin therapy, the first step is to request a 15-minute initial consultation using the contact form below. A therapist will reach out to schedule a time to meet by video. We use a HIPAA-compliant video platform, and you’ll receive a secure link to join at the email address you provide on the form.

Initial Consultation
During this appointment, you’ll have the opportunity to share past experiences with therapy or therapists, briefly discuss what’s bringing you in so we can ensure a good fit with your therapist’s expertise, ask any questions you may have, and, if you choose to move forward, schedule a time for ongoing weekly sessions.

First Appointment
Your first appointment will be an assessment, which may take up to two sessions. During this time, your therapist will ask questions about your life, gather relevant history, and work to understand you and the challenges you’re facing. At the end of the assessment, we will collaborate on what you will be working on in therapy. If other services or a higher level of care are recommended, your therapist will discuss these options with you.

We Care
Your experience in therapy is very important to us. If you have concerns about your therapist, we encourage you to bring them up directly in session. Addressing these concerns in real time can be an important part of the relational therapy process, which focuses on understanding and working through thoughts, feelings, and patterns as they arise within the therapeutic relationship itself. We value your feedback and want to understand your experience so we can work together to address any issues.
If you do not feel comfortable to do so or have grievances about the practice or any matters pertaining to billing etc. that you would like to flag up please contact the practice owner Sahar Akhtar.
