Trauma TherapyTrauma is not an event that happened to you, it is the wound as a result of that event. When people have not healed from their trauma they think, act and behave in unhealed ways. This impacts their health, relationships, and sense of self. Trauma can result from childhood, religious, racial, vicarious, or relationship experiences. It can also result from sexual assaults, war, physical, emotional, spiritual abuse and more. Not every traumatic experience will result in PTSD but every traumatic experience will have a lingering impact that if left unhealed remains sensitive.
