Initial Consultation
During this appointment you may share experiences with past therapy or therapists, share briefly what is bringing you to therapy so that your therapist can speak to whether they have the expertise to help you with that specific concern, ask questions and coordinate a time for future weekly meetings should you wish to proceed.
Please ensure that you are sitting in a private space or have headphones when attending from a public space.
We ask that you remove any background filters from your computer screen. If you are in a car please ensure that the vehicle is parked and that you are attending alone.

Client Portal
Prior to getting started your therapist will send you an invitation to join our client portal. When you register you will see a space to update demographic and billing information, fill this out and then click on the lefthand corner where you can review and sign off on consent/intake forms. We ask that you have this completed at least 24 hours prior to your appointment.
Your First Appointment
Your first appointment will be an assessment. At times this takes more than one appointment to complete. You can expect your therapist to ask you questions about your life, obtain a history of treatment/therapy and understand more about you as well as your presenting challenges. At the end of this process we begin therapy. If a recommendation is warranted for other services or a higher level of care your therapist will discuss this with you.
Video Appointments
Telehealth appointments are helpful to people who can't access services in person. It also helps with continuity if you are unable to make in person appointments. After your initial consultation and sometimes assessment we would get a better idea of whether you are a good candidate for video services.
